The twelve verb tenses in English will be covered in this course. The three time references include the present, the past and the future.

Modal verbs include the following: Can, could, may, might, shall, should, will, would, and must.

The active voice is used when the subject does the action. The passive voice is used when the subject is the recipient of the action.
